Creating New Forms of Learning for the Future of Education

The essence of education lies in discovering the joy of learning and nurturing the ability to pursue truth independently. For many years, I have been involved in research and practice in educational technology as a university professor. Now, with the emergence of AI as a new technology, we stand at a turning point that greatly expands the possibilities of education.
Our goal is to create new forms of learning for the future of education. As a first step, we have begun developing an AI system that accompanies children’s pure questions of “why?” and “how?” This system aims to be a “companion on intellectual journeys” that deepens thinking through dialogue and leads to unexpected directions of interest, rather than being just a question-answering tool.
Furthermore, we are developing various educational systems that effectively utilize AI in different educational settings to maximize the potential of each learner. By providing learning environments optimized for each learner beyond the framework of conventional education, we are working to realize truly personalized learning.
As AI technology permeates society, we have a responsibility to establish methods for educationally appropriate use of this powerful tool. With safety and educational value as our top priorities, we will always stand from the learner’s perspective to build systems that support solid learning.
Learning should be an experience filled with wonder, discovery, and joy. Through new AI technology, our mission is to return to this fundamental principle and create an environment where everyone can learn and grow in their own way.

CEO of LINGUAPORTA Inc. Previously served as Professor at Tokyo Denki University and Tokai University. Completed graduate studies at Teachers College, Columbia University. Specializes in English teaching methodology and has authored numerous books on English. Conducts research and development of e-learning and AI system platforms and content.
